Here's why risk is your friend

When the kingdom of Sparta was in conflict with Greece, it asked all the neighboring kingdoms whether they wanted to be friends or allies of Sparta. It was a binary choice.
One of the kings said that he did not know yet.🤔
The kingdom of Sparta then decided to invade his kingdom. The decision was made for him.
This story demonstrates that risk is always transferred somewhere. It can be diminished or increased, but it never disappears.
Risk is the best ally of investment.
Taking calculated risks can lead to great rewards. 🎁 However, one must not confuse risk with a total lack of information.
I have encountered risk in several personal experiences:
My first investment in crypto with less knowledge than I have today.
Living abroad involved risks, but it was a chosen risk.
Doing stand-up and getting on stage was also a chosen risk to which I adapted.
In investments, the biggest risk is doing nothing. You risk missing out on the investment of the century.
You risk saying, "I could have... I knew...I even looked at the price that day, but I didn't take action."
Even staying with a single currency carries a risk.
We must ask ourselves about our risk tolerance.
What is the minimum risk I can take?
What is my Minimum Viable Risk (MVR)?
What is my safety threshold?
Many risks are underestimated, like betting on a football team or buying a lottery ticket. Whereas a (paid) call with a successful investor will have an overestimated risk: "What if I learn nothing? What if it's not for me?"
While the possibilities of gains are much wider: help to unlock an element, make a new friend, find a new opportunity, expand one's network, have a story to tell,...🌱
That said!
One must not confuse risk with a total lack of information. For example, I didn't invest in Anchor Finance because I didn't understand how they could offer a guaranteed 20% return on a stable coin. This saved me from losses when the project went bankrupt in a few hours.
🔥 Risk becomes an ally when it is chosen and an enemy when it is imposed.
If we don't decide, someone else will decide for us. Freedom is choice.
For those who are starting in cryptos or those who are tired of having to look for the needle in the haystack.
Sincerely,
Antoine 😉
